SpyZooka’s Optimize Windows feature helps your computer start up faster and run more efficiently by disabling unnecessary programs set to launch at startup.

In benchmarking tests, disabling unused startup programs with SpyZooka led to a 30–40% faster boot time on average. Users also experienced noticeable improvements in performance, with lower memory and CPU usage throughout the day.

This feature is ideal if your PC feels slow after turning it on — and especially if you haven’t optimized it in a while.

How It Works

When Windows boots up, dozens of programs may be set to launch in the background — many of which you don’t actually need right away (or ever). These slow your PC and waste system resources.

SpyZooka scans for non essential startup items and lets you:

  • Disable them temporarily

  • Restore them if needed

  • Or remove them permanently

Nothing critical is ever shown in this section, so you can make changes with confidence.

Windows Section Overview

This section shows all safe to modify startup programs, along with helpful details:

  • Name – Program name

  • Publisher – Company that created the software

  • Version – Official version number

  • Type – How the program is set to launch (e.g., registry-based startup)

  • Status – Whether it's currently enabled or disabled

Click any column header to sort the list alphabetically by that category.

Control Buttons

Each item in the list can be managed with three buttons:

  • Disable – Temporarily disables the program from launching at startup (recommended if unsure)

  • Restore – Re-enables previously disabled items

  • Remove – Permanently deletes the startup entry

You can always disable first, then remove later if you’re confident the program isn’t needed.

Pro Tip

Most users see the biggest gains by disabling auto-updaters, cloud sync tools, and old utilities that no longer serve a daily purpose.

Run Optimize every few weeks to keep your startup lean and your PC running at its best.
